The church once housed a 14th-century alabaster statue of the Virgin Mary, now on display in the Langres museum. The present 15th-century church must have been built after the Count of Montbélliard, who in 1371 "hacked to pieces" the inhabitants of the village, pillaging and setting fire to the houses and church. Inside, a painted wooden panel depicts the Crucifixion with the patron saints of the Church of Dommarien: St Remy and St Germain. This panel dates from the 16th century.|The high altar and pews date from the 18th century.|The altar of the Virgin, whose large painting depicts St Dominique and St Claire receiving the rosary from the Virgin, was inaugurated on 1 February 1643 by Father Jean Edme Colomb of the Friars Preachers (Dominicans) of Langres for the brotherhood of the Holy Rosary of the Virgin.
