Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church, already ravaged by fire in 1567 and 1572, was completely destroyed in a fire that devastated the village on 4 July 1825 (80 buildings, including the church and the town hall). Rebuilt in 1826, preserving the original choir dating from the second half of the 13th century with its 15th-century Eucharistic cupboard, it fell victim to fire again on 13 May 1882. The church was once again restored using stone from the Châtillon-sur-Seine quarries and local stone for the bell tower.
