The present church was built thanks to the perseverance of the parish priest of Anglus, Charles Cancel. The old church, which dated from the 14th century, was destroyed, and the new one was completed in 1867. The entrance to the building is closed by a massive double oak door that opens onto a vestibule from which a narrow wooden staircase leads up to the bell tower and its three bells (cast in 1868 by a founder from Vrécourt in the Vosges). The nave of the church is separated from the vestibule by two padded panels. A single aisle leads to the choir, lined with oak benches for the use of the faithful.
