The Latin cross church dates back to the 12th century, but underwent a number of alterations in the 16th, 17th and 19th centuries, including the rebuilding of the bell tower in 1956 (date on the east side). The church has a canted choir with two openings and a nave with a basket-handle ceiling. Note the water-leaf capitals at the transept crossing and in the choir.
