The church of Saint-Martin de Doulaincourt was completely rebuilt in the 18th century to replace the previous building, which was in poor condition and had become too narrow. The work was carried out between 1732 and 1737. In 1751, a storm seriously damaged the roof, which had to be completely redone. It was not until the end of the 18th century that the church acquired its current silhouette with the construction of the bell tower-porch, which replaced the old bell tower. The estimate for this work was drawn up in 1786 by Didier Pierret, an architect from Wassy.
In 1877, the choir was fitted with stained glass windows by Haussaire, a master glass-maker from Reims. The heritage value of the church was recognised in 1990 when it was listed as a historic monument.
