EGLISE SAINT-LOUVENT DE FONTAINES-SUR-MARNE

EGLISE SAINT-LOUVENT DE FONTAINES-SUR-MARNE

The façade of Saint-Louvent church is made of ashlar and is topped by the bell tower. The portal bears the date 1770, which corresponds to the date of construction of the wide nave. The choir has 2 rib-vaulted bays and a flat chevet. According to the diocesan survey of 1844, it seems to have been largely rebuilt around 1830. The apse is the oldest part of the building, dating from the 12th century.
