The village of Saint-Loup-sur-Aujon is named after the patron saint of the parish. Bishop of Troyes, legend has it that he repelled the Huns in 451 and prevented Attila from destroying his town by setting fire to it, by virtue of supernatural powers. The church dedicated to him faces the convent of the Community of Wisdom. The nuns of the convent keep it very well maintained, so it is often open, and you can see the patron saint of the village in the rose window above the entrance.
