The church of Saint-Loup de Poiseul consists of a nave (rebuilt in the 18th century with the 13th-century portal replaced) with a single nave and ceiling, topped on the west side by a zinc-covered timber-framed bell tower crowned by a square slate-roofed spire. Its single-bay choir (most likely built in the 13th century) ends in a flat chevet against which the lean-to, machine-tiled sacristy is built.
