The church at Rochetaillée already existed in 1140, when it was given to the abbey of Saint-Seine by the bishop of Langres. The two eastern bays of the nave of Saint-Jean-Baptiste church, together with its aisles, bell tower and apse, date back to the 15th century. The portal opens onto a stone staircase, from which you have to climb down ten or so steps to reach the nave, which has only one aisle. The church, with the exception of the nave, was listed on the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques on 21 October 1925.
