Eglise Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais de Vieux-Moulins

Eglise Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais de Vieux-Moulins

  • photo

The church at Vieux-Moulins was built thanks to a bequest from part of the estate of Mme Rosalie Béguinot de Montrol, who died in 1857. This made it possible to finance the reconstruction of the church of Saint-Gervais-Saint-Protais between 1860 and 1867 (the date of completion of the work is shown on a commemorative plaque). With a Latin cross floor plan, the building comprises a nave with a single nave of three bays, a tower-porch crowned with a polygonal slate-roofed spire and a single-bay choir ending in a flat chevet.
