Saint-Gengoulf church was listed as a Historic Monument on 13 February 1928.
The church has a Latin cross floor plan and a single nave with six bays, the first four and the last of which are rib-vaulted and the fifth cross-vaulted. The last bay forms a false transept, as it is flanked by two chapels. The choir has a straight bay and a three-sided apse covered by a six-quarter rib vault. Two lean-to sacristies flank the choir. There is a Eucharistic cupboard in the chevet wall. A polygonal spire with a slate roof tops the porch-latour. The spiral staircase is set in the corner formed by the tower-porch and the nave, on the north side.
