EGLISE SAINT-FELIX-SAINT-AUGEBERT DE SILVAROUVRES

EGLISE SAINT-FELIX-SAINT-AUGEBERT DE SILVAROUVRES

The church of Saint-Félix and Saint-Augebert was rebuilt in 1787-1788 to plans drawn up by the water and forestry architect François Nicolas Lancret. It is an elongated building with a single nave of four bays with round arched openings and a choir with a flat chevet, the walls of which are pierced by two openings. The semi-circular chevet wall is entirely covered with a large fresco depicting the martyrdom of the parish's two patron saints. The vaults are also painted with ornamental motifs and circular medallions.
