The church of Palaiseul was a branch of Heuilley-le-Grand. At the time, it was only a chapel donated in 1159 to the Chapter of Langres along with the church of Noidant-Chatenoy. This donation was confirmed in 1170 by a bull from Pope Alexander III. On the initiative of Abbé Paul Lemoine, the parish priest, Saint-Adrien church was completely rebuilt (with the exception of the sacristy) according to plans drawn up on 20 March 1885 by the architect Henry-Philibert Méot. The elongated building has a single nave with three bays, preceded by a tower-porch crowned by a square stone spire. The spire is framed at its base by two secondary chapels. The choir consists of a straight bay and a three-sided apse covered by a six-quarter rib vault. The sacristy, with its gable roof, backs onto the north wall of the choir.
Beautiful view.
