The church of Notre-Dame-en-son-Assomption in Vaillant is a building that most certainly dates back to the Middle Ages, although it is not possible to pinpoint a precise period of construction. It has an elongated floor plan, with a nave with a single panelled nave, a tower-porch crowned by a square slate-roofed spire and a choir with a single barrel-vaulted bay. The upper part of the bell tower may have been raised in the early 19th century (one bell is dated 1812).
