Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption church is a homogeneous building dating from the 13th century. It comprises an east nave with a single nave of two bays, a bell tower crowned with a pavilion roof covered in flat tiles, and a choir ending in a flat chevet. The church at Villars-Montroyer has been listed on the Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques since 30 October 1925.
