EGLISE NOTRE-DAME-DE-L'ASSOMPTION DE SEXFONTAINES

EGLISE NOTRE-DAME-DE-L'ASSOMPTION DE SEXFONTAINES

In 1782, the inhabitants of Sexfontaines decided to rebuild their church by moving it to the upper part of the village. Based on plans by François Lancret, the work was awarded to François Brigonnet in November 1783 for 1,950 l. The consecration took place on 17 November 1787. The elongated building had a nave with three bays, a choir flanked by two chapels separated by two large square pillars.
