Dedicated to Notre-Dame, Vivey's church, Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité, was built in the 15th century. It has a baptistery and a listed cross at its chevet, both dating from the 14th century. Its bells bear the names Marie-Lousie, Philomène-Joséphine and Marie-Jeanne. The nave has a single nave and is covered by beams supporting panelling.
During the French Revolution, while the tithes belonged to Auberive, the church belonged to Praslay and therefore to the deanery of Langres. In 1803, it was united as an annex of Lamargelle-au-Bois, before becoming an independent parish in 1863, but it was not until 1870 that it received its first parish priest.
In 1995, the bell tower was electrified, illuminating the clock faces to great effect.
