The church at Bugnières was very old (before 1786) and was not in its current location. It was moved and rebuilt using stone from the Bugnières quarries between 1826 and 1828 and now stands in the centre of the village. It has since been modernised and the 3 bells are fitted with an electric mechanism that rings the hours and plays nursery rhymes every Saturday and Sunday lunchtime. Renovated in 2023, its whiteness and pretty red door welcome visitors.
