The church of Epiphanie-de-Notre-Dame in Dardenay was once a simple rural chapel dependent on Choilley. It dates from the 12th century, as can be seen from the bases of the pointed arch and the two windows in the north wall of the nave. The elongated building comprises a nave with a single nave and ceiling, a tower-porch (built in 1846, as indicated by the date inscribed on the keystone of its portal arch) crowned with a square slate-roofed spire, and a two-bay choir covered by a pointed barrel vault.
