Originally, Chanoy was just a hamlet without a church, part of the parish of Lannes. The church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin was built between April 1843 (date of the tender) and August 1845 (date of acceptance of the work). The elongated building has a single nave with three bays, an octagonal bell tower corbelled onto the gable wall of the west facade and a single-bay choir ending in a flat chevet.
