The burial is a megalithic chest measuring approximately 3 m long by 1.50 m wide, and weighing around 7.8 tonnes. It rests on 4 orthostats, of which the 2 on the north side are in their original position. The dolmen was set in an earth and stone mound 9 m long and 7 m wide.
The dolmen has undergone a great deal of damage, mainly due to the passage of time, but also because of the people who lend credence to the local legend. According to the legend, the dolmen's covering slab is lifted at Christmas to reveal a treasure. The person who grabs the treasure must take it home without blinking on the way, otherwise the treasure will turn to stone.
This dolmen was completely excavated and restored in 2005. Only bone spalls, ceramic fragments and flint splinters were found. The bone spalls were carbon-14 dated to between the late Neolithic and early Bronze Ages (1900 - 1300 BC).
