This cross was erected on 18 May 1843 by Claude Lambert and his wife Jeanne Galissot. It was restored in 2005 thanks to ANESPA (Association de Neuilly-l'Evêque pour la Sauvegarde du Patrimoine Architectural). However, as it was impossible to remove the base, which was sunk into the ground and held in place by the sprawling roots of the ash trees that used to be planted at the same time as the crosses, it was decided to leave it in place, as it bears the inscription of the donors. An identical plinth was therefore rebuilt and placed a little ahead of its original position.
