On the edge of the path leading to the butte Saint-Nicolas stands a large cross bearing this inscription on its pedestal: FRANÇOIS VOIRIN A POSE / LA P PIERRE ET / ANNE CHEVAILLIER" The second block of the pedestal is decorated with mouldings and has a relief on each side. Another inscription reads: A LA DEVOTION D / E ME NICOLAS / BARBE ET DE / MARIE VOIRIN / SA FEME/1737. On the opposite side, Saint Nicolas can be seen holding a crozier, accompanied by three children emerging from a vat.| A column with a smooth shaft supports an Ionic capital. The scrolls hang from garlands of pearls. The cross at the top features a large flower in relief at the ends of its branches. Christ is depicted with his head slumped over his shoulder, his body slumped and his legs bent. On the reverse, the Virgin is standing on a console decorated with foliage, overwhelmed by grief. She is wearing a heavy cloak. Her legs are bent, her head bowed and her hands clasped together.
