This rustic calvary perpetuates the memory of the owner of an old field in what is now the communal forest. Popular tradition has it that he was struck by lightning while ploughing his field on All Saints' Day, thus transgressing the divine law forbidding all work on that day. Since then, the cursed field has remained uncultivated, nature having reclaimed its rights.
