Nogent*** the French brand of quality and trust. The factory was founded in 1923 by Mr Louis André, Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Today, the Nogent*** production site is still located in Biesles in Haute-Marne, in the heart of a region where the tradition of cutlery making has been known since the Middle Ages.
The blades, made from bevel-rolled steel, are sharpened by hand by our demanding staff, who have acquired the company's expertise over the decades.
Nogent*** uses mainly hornbeam wood, dried for a year in a wood yard and renowned for its hardness. The wood used comes from sustainably managed French forests.
The manufacture of a Nogent*** item requires up to 42 successive operations in each of our 10 workshops to produce knives and utensils (can openers, shovels, etc.).
A large fleet of high-performance machines, specially designed for Nogent***, means that all stages of production can be carried out on site, with rigorous quality control at every critical stage.
Sensitive to environmental issues, the company is committed to energy saving and water treatment. Looking to the future, NOGENT*** continues to anchor the company around its core values: love and pride in a job well done, maintaining and developing local employment, and a commitment to quality production in France...
Nogent*** welcomes you to its new factory outlet where you'll find all its products. You'll also find Guillouard kitchen and garden products.
