In the heart of a clearing on the road to Arc en Barrois stands a beautiful dovecote still covered in lava. A remnant of the Vauclair priory founded here in 1219, the building has two storeys. On the ground floor, a door with a straight lintel leads to a small barrel-vaulted room. Taking advantage of the sloping ground, another round-headed doorway can be accessed further up, leading to the pigeon house. Inside, the stone bolts have been preserved and are accessible via a wooden revolving ladder. From the outside, you can see that this building has a dormer window with a flight platform for the birds, as well as a cordon placed high up to prevent predators from gaining access to the nests.
