Château de Marault features a gatehouse dating back to the 13th century. This is the most remarkable feature. There is also a 14th-century drawbridge with turrets.
The courtyard features a magnificent dovecote, an 18th-century main building and 19th-century outbuildings.
It was in this château that a meeting of notables was held in the utmost secrecy after the Second World War, under the chairmanship of General de Gaulle, who a few years earlier had hesitated between buying Château de Marault or La Boisserie in Colombey-les-deux-églises.
The gatehouse, moat and bridge are listed as historic monuments.
Private site: view of the exterior of the property.
