Chapelle Sainte-Ursule de Morimond

  • photo

This medieval building is found throughout the Cistercian order. Altered in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, the Sainte-Ursule chapel was restored between 1994 and 1999. It enabled people who were not monks and who could not enter the enclosure to attend services: farmers, workers, employees, visitors, etc. It was the last place where the monks gathered before they were expelled from the site in 1791.
