The Brasserie Distillerie Lingone in Rivière-les-Fosses produces organically-farmed beer, lemonade and spirits (whiskey, brandy, etc.).
It all started with a meeting of minds between two companies in the south of the Haute-Marne region: Le Muid Montsaugeonnais, a winery set up in 1991 in Vaux-sous-Aubigny, and Bock'n Roll, a craft brewery set up in 2015 in Isômes.
The managers of Muid Montsaugeonnais, having acquired land and a building in Rivière-les-Fosses, wanted to create a whisky distillery to complement their main business. Jérémie Poppe, manager of the Bock'n Roll craft brewery, was looking for a way to expand his small business.
As the whisky-making process is very similar to that of beer, the joint idea of setting up a new brewery-distillery project was born.
In spring 2017, a team of around ten volunteers got down to work on the project and, via the creation of an association, ABDD, gave themselves the means (starting from scratch) to lay the foundations of this new company.
In December 2019, LINGONE SAS was created, managed by a steering committee of 12 people.
At the beginning of 2021, after 3 years of preparatory studies, research and prospecting, the first development work will begin on the site. A year will be needed to modify the existing building, build new premises and install the process (brewhouse, fermenters, bottling line, etc.).
In July 2022, the first brews of beer will be produced, with a view to launching products on the local market in September 2022.
