Also known as the Noailles Battery, it is one of the 4 batteries attached to the Plesnoy fort, located on the plateau. It was he who, in his decree of 21 January 1887, wanted every military building (barracks, fort, battery, etc.) to be renamed after a local military hero, if possible.||Louis-Marie Noailles, chevalier d'Arpajon (1756-1804), son of Marshal Mouchy, took part in the American War of Independence. He spoke out in favour of the abolition of privileges. He emigrated and fought in Saint-Domingue, where he died.
