Also known as the Lavarande Battery, it is one of the 4 batteries attached to the Plesnoy fort and located on the plateau. It was he who, in his decree of 21 January 1887, wanted every military building (barracks, fort, battery, etc.) to be renamed after a local military hero, if possible.
