For non-motorised boats or electric motors of less than 6 hp:
Traffic on the 4 lakes is free in the areas made available (see Special Police Regulations specific to each lake).
Mooring of boats is subject to a fee. All requests should be addressed to VNF.
Boats with internal combustion engines:
Boats with internal combustion engines are only allowed on the Liez reservoir dam from 1 January to 31 December, from 10.30am to sunset, subject to having a permit to operate issued by VNF, and only in the areas made available in accordance with the specific regulations in force on the Liez reservoir dam. All engines over 6hp must be authorised by VNF.
Navigation is regulated by special police regulations on the 4 lakes, available in electronic form from VNF.
The VNF Vignette is compulsory for boats with internal combustion engines and/or with a power rating greater than 6 hp - rates available on the VNF website, depending on the use and size of the boat.
A processing time of 8 working days is required to obtain authorisation to use an internal combustion engine before navigation on the Liez reservoir dam.
