"Running is my pleasure".
Racing - Coursing - Run's
The only dog sports where the dog has complete freedom of choice and speed.
The LÉVRIERS CHAMPAGNE ARDENNE club is open to all identified, sociable and healthy dogs, greyhounds or not, pedigree or not, of all sizes except 1st category dogs.
LÉVRIERS CHAMPAGNE ARDENNE runs 3 disciplines, all based on racing behind a lure.
- Racing and coursing are formatted for sighthounds and similar dogs: large, sometimes highly technical courses adapted to these dogs 'cut out' to run behind game.
- Run's (cyno run's, speed run's and cross run's) are adapted to the physical conditions and performance of other breeds.
Activities take place between Laferté-Gare and Laferté-sur-Amance at the Bois Tarlot dog track, set on a 3-hectare site on the banks of the Amance.
An approved cynodrome: this is an oval grass ring about 500 m long, with lure drive by rail motor.
A 130 m2 Club House is enclosed and heatable, with a bar and all the equipment needed to heat, cool and wash dishes, etc.
A wooded area provides shade for dogs and vehicles and is ideal for picnics, with a BBQ, plancha, folding tables and benches provided by the Club. It's a great opportunity to meet other dog owners.
Several times a year, the Club organises meals for members, friends from neighbouring towns and dog owners who have come to compete.
The Club's technical staff are qualified and accredited by the CNUL (Commission Nationale d'Utilisation des Lévriers, under the aegis of the Société Centrale Canine). Founded in 1984, this experienced club has built up recognised expertise through its national and international competitions, which bring together greyhound owners from all over France and abroad 2 or 3 times a year.
Open to the public free of charge. Please let us know before you arrive.
