Beaulieu Abbey was founded here in 1166.
The current abbot's residence dates from 1731.
The chapel dates back to the 14th century, but was completely remodelled in the 18th century.

Beaulieu Abbey became a commune in 1790 and was incorporated into Hortes in 1849. It had its own coat of arms, which can still be seen in the coat of arms decoration in a gallery of the former Septfontaines Abbey. It refers to the monastic residence and is described as follows: "Azure, a castle embattled with two silver towers set on a Vert terrace".

Private site, visible from the street only.
