A nature walk for all the family at Roches-sur-Rognon:
This attractive 9.5 km loop, starting from the church in Roches-sur-Rognon, invites young and old to enjoy a pleasant walk through forest, water and heritage. Easily accessible in a 2? hour walk, the trail follows the peaceful Saint-Thiébaut stream and takes in three ponds nestling in the heart of the forest. Along the way, children can observe the wildlife and enjoy the cool undergrowth. A short, slightly steep climb adds a touch of adventure, but without too much difficulty. The route returns gently to the village, birthplace of the Marquis de Jouffroy d'Abbans, a pioneer of steam navigation. Combining nature, local history and the pleasure of getting together in the fresh air, this walk is perfect for a half-day family outing. Bring good shoes if the ground is wet!
