A family outing in the woods:
From Bettaincourt-sur-Rognon, set off on a beautiful 9 km loop through the woods, ideal for a family outing. The route climbs gently through a green landscape, skirting the Cordon housing estate before offering a remarkable view of the Rognon valley, the Damascus rock and Montéclair. The walk continues through a peaceful forest, where oak and beech trees accompany walkers to the site of the "Château Vert", a former medieval defence post. A well-earned break then awaits you at Les Trois Sapins, with benches and a picnic table. The descent is gentle, punctuated by local anecdotes, such as that of the woodcutter whose memory is remembered by a cross. On the way back to Bettaincourt, you can explore the hamlet of Petit Cultru. It's a natural route, a blend of discreet heritage and wooded immersion, perfect for a rejuvenating family walk.
