This trail winds between the cliffs and through the woods to return to Faverolles along the old Roman road, where the remains of the great mausoleum stand in the middle of the woods.
Along the way, you'll find the source of the Vaubrien stream, the Fontaine du Saut. This stream is unusual in that it forms tuff deposits as it cascades down to the Rolampont tufa. It flows through a small valley of great ecological, fauna and flora interest. It is a protected natural area and one of the sites making up the European NATURA 2000 network under the Habitats Directive.
In the village of Faverolles, you can stop off at the archaeological workshop, organised around a large model showing the remains of the funerary sculpture from the Gallo-Roman mausoleum... You can also visit the village fountain and admire the church of Saint-Germain.
