Doulevant-le-Château is a large village in the Blaise valley, situated between Dommartin-le-Saint-Père and Cirey. Until the 19th century, it was home to numerous shops, amenities and services, many of which can still be seen in the village's heritage.
Departing from the public car park on the banks of the River Blaise, this trail invites you to discover the centuries-old history of Doulevant-le-Château, from its origins in the Middle Ages to the 19th century. During the latter period, the village experienced strong growth thanks to the development of the metal industry under the impetus of a family of blacksmiths: the Berthelin family.
