A tranquil nature walk around Cirfontaines-en-Azois :
This pretty 8.5 km loop starts from the town hall square in Cirfontaines-en-Azois and is perfect for a family outing. You'll enjoy around 2 hours of gentle walking through woods and valleys, with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The path winds its way through deciduous trees and fir trees, crossing small forest roads and skirting crops that were once planted with vines. The scenery changes between clearings, margins and pastures, offering a wide variety of botanical species, and with a bit of luck you may even spot some protected species such as the yellow gentian or the pyramidal orchid. Before returning, a glance towards the horizon reveals the emblematic silhouette of the cross at Colombey-les-Deux-Églises. Back in the village, the church, calvaries and wash-houses invite you to continue your discovery. An accessible and pleasant route, ideal for enjoying the natural and rural riches of the Haute-Marne at your leisure.
