An enchanting walk at the gateway to the forest:
From Brottes, set off on a lovely 9km loop (approx. 2h30) in the heart of the Corgebin state forest, just a stone's throw from Chaumont. Easy to get to and ideal for the whole family, this walk takes you through a calm and varied natural environment, with beech, oak, maple and forest clearings. The highlight of the route? The Fontaine Sainte Libère, a legendary spring that was once a place of pilgrimage, where a playground and picnic tables await you for a well-deserved break. Along the way, the lucky ones might spot deer, squirrels or even wild boar. The waymarked path (blue-yellow) also runs alongside botanical panels to help you discover the trees of the forest. It's an accessible and rejuvenating trail, perfect for a gentle getaway and a family outing in the countryside. This is the shortest of the routes through the Corgebin forest.
ATTENTION: from 9 to 27 March 2026, the ONF will be cutting down diseased trees in order to make the path safer for walkers. The ONF is therefore calling for caution and vigilance.
