Between the meandering Meuse and wooded balconies:
Departing from Goncourt, this 10km loop trail offers a pleasant walk between the gentle course of the river and the wooded hills. The route, signposted in blue and yellow, first follows the peaceful banks of the Meuse, then climbs gently to the heights to offer superb views over the valley. The route alternates between forest paths, woodland edges and hamlet crossings, with contemplative moments and more strenuous sections, including a short, steep section through the woods. The route crosses several emblematic bridges - railway, road and ancient - and passes through Harréville-les-Chanteurs, a village nestling between water and forest. Accessible in 2? hours, this route will delight both regular walkers and motivated families looking for a fast-paced, accessible walk in the heart of a typical Bassigny landscape, so dear to the Goncourt brothers.
