Between literary heritage and wild nature :
Leaving from Bourmont, this 11km route offers a fine blend of history, nature and light sporting thrills. The route starts gently in the Parc du Côna, with its rocky chaos, century-old lime trees and panoramic views over the valley. Then it's on to the Bois de la Belle Fontaine, where forest paths and unobstructed views of Bourmont accompany your progress. After a more technical section in the forest - a small canyon, descents and the grotte de la Bôve - the loop descends towards Gonaincourt and runs quietly alongside the Meuse before heading back up towards the old town and its ramparts. Signposted green-yellow, this route requires a minimum of stamina but is still accessible to regular walkers. Allow 3 hours' walking to get the most out of this well-balanced loop, which combines natural sights, literary memories and the authenticity of the Bassigny region.
