A loop between forest and heritage:
Starting from the Place Cantarel in Andelot, this 7.5km circuit is ideal for a family outing in the fresh air. A 2-hour walk, the route begins with a gentle descent to the Rognon and Pont Rouge rivers, before heading into the peaceful local forest. The gravel path climbs gently through the heart of the wood to the plateau, where you should stop at the Roche du Breuil for a superb view of the valley and Morteau castle. Along the way, the forest reveals a variety of vegetation and some discreet traces of the local fauna, such as the wild boar bauges. On the way back, through the same coomb, you'll be able to spot rare species such as the errablaie or the tillaie with scolopendre. It's a walk that balances nature, history and botanical discoveries, perfect for a peaceful family outing along the wooded paths.
