Yuniel Delgado Castillo : dessins - peintures - sculptures

Yuniel Delgado Castillo is a Cuban painter, draughtsman and sculptor, born in Havana in 1984. Although he is a well-known artist in his home country, his reputation extends far beyond Cuba. His commitment to the creative process itself, combined with the diversity of techniques and materials he employs, means that some of his works straddle the boundaries between painting and drawing, relief and collage. Yuniel Delgado Castillo is an artist for whom social acceptance is no obstacle. His works are highly spontaneous; his artistic language is direct and open; his often unsettling images may shock us, but they never leave us indifferent. They are the expression of an inner-outer reality that is utterly inescapable.
