During heatwaves, Chaumont’s museums look after both local residents and visiting holidaymakers. They are ideal, cool places to learn something new and enjoy a relaxing break.
On Thursday 16 July and 13 August, from 4 pm to 5 pm, the Museum of Art and History will open its doors for a guided tour covering its entire collection.
From antiquity to the 20th century, you’ll explore the archaeology gallery, the paintings gallery and the gallery dedicated to the Tréfousse glove-making workshop. Numerous paintings, as well as sculptures, will be on display. You’ll also have the chance to discover local artists such as Edme Bouchardon and François-Alexandre Pernot.
