A father creates a world for his daughter

In a country at war, in the heart of a small village, a father has built a wooden theatre. He has called it ‘The Blue Whale’. One night, as the war rages, he takes his daughter Macha there. To soothe her fear, he presents her with his final performance: a wordless poem about the birth of the world. Alone on stage, Simon Falguières creates a world of textures and images, where wood becomes a refuge and the imagination a form of resistance.

A sensitive and luminous fable, in which the imagination stands up to reality.
