For their final talk, Ruth and Étienne venture into the most certain of unknowns: death. A vast, universal subject, and yet a deeply mysterious one. Facing the audience, the simplest questions turn into philosophical dilemmas. The couple falters, anxiety mounts… and yet, we laugh. We’re also moved by this attempt to put the unspeakable into words. For we know nothing of death.
And what if that is precisely why we laugh at it?
