L’objet extraordinaire … Céramiques Berbères

The museums in Langres invite you to discover the craft of Berber pottery. This craft, known as ‘ideqqi’, is practised exclusively by women. It is a very ancient pottery tradition, dating back to before antiquity. Ideqqi is characterised by the hand-building of pottery using coils, firing in open hearths, and a distinctive decorative style featuring geometric patterns.
