This ring fort was intended to cover the upper Marne valley, the roads to Nancy and Belfort and the Paris-Basel railway line.
It is the only Langrois fort of this generation to have retained its bastioned layout (designed before 1866).
Guided tours starting at 3pm, 3.30pm and 4pm.
The fort will be open to the public from 3pm to 5pm.
Exhibition:
Tonnerres de Peigney is an exhibition that tells the story of the fort and explains its role in the defensive system of the town of Langres.
