When it was found in the attic of the museum's old building, the painting was no longer looking its best: dirty, stained by a water leak, the canvas no longer attached to the stretcher on two sides and the reverse side covered in mould! After a meticulous restoration, the Musée de la Crèche de Chaumont is delighted to present it for all to see!
